BackgroundUltiMitt.org is political influence 2.0. Unlike any other election in history, internet based tools will play a powerful role in the election of the next President of the United States. Tools such as Friendster, Youtube, MySpace, and Facebook have made it possible for a single individual's voice to reach millions. However, the proliferation of speech has diluted the power of message campaigning. The internet has become like a crowded town hall meeting, with each individual trying to be heard above an unorganized and noisy crowd. As Mitt Romney?s campaign moves forward, those who hear Romney?s message not only become convinced that he is the right candidate, but they become impassioned and want to devote their time, money, and energies to help him succeed. But these supporters typically lack the organizational know-how to make the greatest impact in their communities and the nation. The purpose of Ultimitt.org is to unify and empower nationwide supporters, employing a user-friendly and comprehensive ?hub? website, internet networking tools, message broadcasting, and a strong corporate organizational structure.
In order to obtain the level of political influence we hope to achieve in 2008 there are 4 crucial keys to success. First, we needed to create an information one-stop hub for the latest information on Mitt Romney's progress, the latest news, videos, rumors, and polls. Although several other websites have made attempts at this, we believe that no site exists that offers the information in such a carefree and user-friendly format. Many people don't have time to search through blog posts or click through links to find what they are looking for. Therefore we developed the UltiMitt News Center and made it part of our central policy to keep it updated with the latest information. The News Center is a single page where you click and watch the latest interview or read the latest gossip. You can watch the daily changes to poll numbers in the nation or in the early primary states. Goal #2: The UltiMitt OrganizationWe have been ambitious from the very beginning, hoping to make a major influence in this election on a national level. Therefore, we felt it necessary to attract the best talent for running the organization. Our board consists of attorneys and other professionals who have achieved great successes in their professions.
We also have an advisory board, made up of leaders from other Mitt Romney sites and organizations. This advisory board is an effort to connect dozens of Mitt Romney supporters and coordinate efforts between blogs and websites. Goal #3: The UltiMitt Team Building ToolsWe wanted to bring something unique to the world of political influence. Other sites have made attempts at gathering or transmitting information to the general public. We drew from our professional experiences the value of networking and decided that we needed a way to provide networking capabilities to our users. We also wanted to provide leaders with incentives for creating their own grassroots efforts and recruiting new volunteers and team members. Therefore, we developed UltiMitt Teams. Users can come to the website, create their own coalition or team and invite others to join. The teams with the most members would be honored on the Top Ten Teams list. Goal #4: The UltiMitt MessageFinally we needed to make sure the message of our site was clear and simple. Other organizations that have attempted to make a difference on the world stage have struggled to find unity, due to multiple or complex messages. Our one message that we are sending is simply "Elect Mitt Romney as President in 2008." Our effort is not to send negative messages about other candidates or to center strongly on a single policy issue. Our message to the world is strong and clear and we intend to make every effort and explore every avenue to make a positive impact with the message of Mitt Romney for President. |
